Our story
We do our work with so much pride as we ensure all standards are achieved according to the client’s needs, service delivery is one of our instrumental targets as costs and time are vital to any organization-as they have goals and deliverables which are key to their type of operation.
Linemark offers a warranty on all work performed and in situations where the client has a problem whilst we are on
site, we will assist in making it a win-win affair. We have a team of former Debswana employees with vast experience running the plant to maintain equipment to OEM standards. We can assist in plant commissioning and operational issues from the Central Control Room (CCR).
Effective shutdown management is critical to the operation of plants, for without well-planned and executed shutdowns, equipment reliability suffers, and the plants pay the price of poor quality and lost production. Becoming proficient at managing shutdowns is a way to reduce overall downtime costs so that shutdowns do not consume the savings they can generate.
Due to current economic conditions, cutting costs has become a high priority, and effective shutdown management is an
exercise in such waste reduction. Maintenance shutdowns are a major part of the annual budget at most plants and are usually a target for cost reduction. However, maintenance shutdown costs can be reduced by 30% to 50% from historical levels if the startup after the outage occurs smoothly and predictably. By using simple and effective shutdown management techniques, savings equal to several weeks of additional production each year can be achieved. These improvements can occur without sacrificing any work or cancelling any scheduled maintenance downtime.
If the principles of successful shutdown management are clearly understood, the actions needed to make shutdowns more cost-effective can be taken immediately. When a plant decides to identify major outage work far in advance and the work is carefully planned to maximize ease of execution, the result will be lower costs. At the same time, if disruptions to the process (such as late add-on work) are kept under control, there will be sufficient resources available to continually refine and improve the shutdown model for greater savings each year.
